Help us take flight—for real. Join the Walla Walla Disaster Airlift Response Team (DART) for a live training exercise and play a vital role in preparing our region for emergencies. This simulation helps us practice how general aviation can deliver critical aid when roads are closed or infrastructure is down.
This year, Walla Walla will operate as a receiving hub, taking in aircraft carrying donated food and emergency supplies. We need community volunteers to help the day run smoothly!
Volunteer Roles Needed:
Ground Crew Support
Help unload supplies, organize cargo, and prep materials for local distribution.
Hospitality & Coordination
Welcome pilots, assist with check-ins, and help coordinate aircraft turnaround.
Forklift Operator (optional)
Stand by to assist with heavier cargo, if needed.
Media & Storytelling Team
Capture photos, video, and stories from the day to highlight the value of DART.
Backup Drivers (for June 9)
Help deliver supplies to BMAC if needed following the exercise.
No aviation experience required—just a willingness to serve. Come join us for the fun. Training will be needed for most of the roles and provided earlier in the week or same day in the morning. Help us prove how aviation and community come together when it matters most.
