Who We Are

The Disaster Airlift Response Team (DART) is a volunteer network of general aviation pilots and ground support teams committed to serving communities in times of crisis. We come together to provide fast, flexible, and reliable air transportation when traditional ground supply lines are disrupted. Our members include private pilots, aviation enthusiasts, emergency responders, and logistics volunteers—all united by a common purpose: to use aviation as a force for good.

What We Do

When disasters strike—wildfires, earthquakes, floods, or infrastructure failures—DART mobilizes to deliver relief where it’s needed most. We fly critical supplies, food, medicine, and personnel to affected areas that may be cut off from conventional transportation. Our volunteers help with:

Flight Operations – Pilots fly missions to deliver emergency goods and evacuate those in need.

Ground Support – Volunteers help load/unload aircraft, manage logistics, and coordinate communication.

Mission Planning – Ensuring safe, efficient operations during rapidly changing conditions.

Training & Preparedness – Participating in readiness exercises and local emergency planning. We work closely with local emergency services, nonprofits, and disaster response agencies to fill urgent transportation gaps—and we’re always looking for new volunteers who want to make a tangible impact from the ground or the air.
