Disaster Airlift Response Plan drill, and we need your help! This statewide exercise is crucial for ensuring we are prepared to respond efficiently in crisis situations.
On June 8th, DART will conduct an all-day drill at Walla Walla Regional Airport. The team will use donated funds to purchase non-perishable food, which volunteers will prepare for air transport. The food will then be distributed to counties and tribes across Oregon and Washington states. This exercise helps us practice the critical skill of loading airplanes, ensuring we can deliver aid swiftly during emergencies.
Volunteers will prepare non-perishable food for transport, assist with loading and unloading airplanes (only those trained in aviation safety can do this; training will happen on-site), and support the logistics team with various tasks.
Your participation is crucial and highly valued!
Please meet in the Foreman Lobby at 1:50pm on June 8th for more details.
