Description

Are you interested in assisting with the release of spring chinook salmon parr (fingerlings) at an educational community event? If so, bring your water bottle to the Walla Walla Community College Campus and join in on the fun!

Tasks may include:

  • Assisting community partner staff with crowd control and directing traffic (foot traffic)
  • Assisting community partner staff with managing the release of salmon and monitoring participant safety (mostly children) down by Mill Creek
  • Other general labor tasks, as assigned by event staff

NOTE: There will be TWO salmon releases that occur during the event, one at Noon and the second at 1pm. This volunteer opportunity may require some minor physical labor.

Parking located on Tausick Way or in WWCC main parking lot.

Inclement Weather Plan: Unless the weather conditions will likely risk limb and/or life, the Return to the Salmon Festival will continue on rain or shine. Please dress accordingly.
