The Kitchen Prep volunteer works whenever they are available between 8:00AM and 3:00PM to do kitchen prep work: peeling, chopping or just filling containers for our Nutrition Program. We serve over 400 people a day out of our kitchen and always welcome the help! Each volunteer must have a Washington State food handlers card which you can get online and costs $10. If you do not have this card, you can do the short course here at the Walla Walla Senior Center and we will pay for it.
Time commitment:
Flexible between 8am and 3pm
You choose the times and day(s) that work for you! (Mon-Thur)
Sign up for the timeframe that best represents your availability. Kitchen volunteer opportunities are listed as timeframes rather than fixed shifts. This gives you the flexibility to come when it works best for you. Just check in when you arrive and check out when you leave, and we’ll record your actual hours.
Please note that a manager will need to approve your application before you can sign up for shifts.
