Youth volunteers are an important part of making our camp welcoming and fun! As a Camp Buddy, you’ll be paired with campers or help in activity stations, supporting campers in having a great time. You don’t need special experience, just a kind heart, patience, and a willingness to help! Responsibilities Be a friend and buddy to campers, helping them feel included and safe. Support campers with activities like crafts, games, and STEAM projects. Encourage participation and celebrate camper successes. Use positive communication and be a good role model. Assist with transitions between camp activities. Work as part of a team with camp staff and adult volunteers. Ideal Qualities Friendly, responsible, and respectful Comfortable interacting with people with different abilities Willing to learn and take direction from camp leaders Energetic, flexible, and patient Reliable and able to attend most (or all) camp days Support Adult staff and mentors will always be available for help and guidance You’ll never be asked to do anything outside your comfort zone What You'll Gain Volunteer hours for school or community service Experience working with people with disabilities New friendships and fun memories A certificate of appreciation at the end of camp.
