Come out and help your fellow community members build pride in their neighborhood!
The City of Walla Walla hosts several cleanup events in underserved neighborhoods each year. The City provides 30-yard dumpsters for residents in these neighborhoods to dispose of unwanted clutter and materials.
Starting this year, we are welcoming volunteers to attend the events to assist with things like operating the registration table, loading materials into vehicles, moving materials from vehicles to the dumpsters, monitoring the dumpsters, trimming grass and vegetation, etc.
A free lunchtime meal will be provided for neighbors and volunteers.
The location of the neighborhood will be provided to registered volunteers on May 29, 2026. The locations are not publicized, as there is a concern that people who don't live in the target neighborhoods will take advantage of the opportunity and fill the dumpsters with garbage from other areas.
