About the Event
Your help makes SOAR’s Deck the Houses possible! Join us for a sweet and festive evening filled with frosting, candy, and creativity as participants decorate pre-built gingerbread houses. When the decorating winds down, volunteers and participants can enjoy a few extra holiday crafts.
All completed houses will be displayed at the Walla Walla Center for Children & Families, where students and staff will vote for their favorite design. The winning creation will be announced at Breakfast with Santa!
Your Purpose
As a Creative Companion, you’ll help participants bring their gingerbread visions to life while ensuring the environment stays fun, supportive, and inclusive. Your encouragement and presence make the experience joyful for everyone.
Treat everyone with dignity and respect. Speak to participants as you would any other teen or adult: with kindness, patience, and authenticity.
