Come help create a safe and fun environment for the community to enjoy our natural resources and all the organizations, agencies, and individuals who manage and protect them, especially with respect to our native salmon species!
Duties may include:
- Event set up from 8am-11am (i.e.: setting up canopies, running electrical cords, assisting presenters with hauling equipment and items from their cars to their booths, other general set up, as needed)
- Event maintenance from 11am-3pm (i.e.: filling up water stations, making sure booth presenters have quick restroom breaks, etc.)
- Salmon release assistance between 11am-3pm (We will be releasing baby spring chinook salmon during time slots along Mill Creek. Tasks may include directing foot traffic, monitoring the bike path for safety of all participants, assisting members of the public down the ramp to the water, etc.)
- Event take down from 3pm-5pm (i.e.: taking down canopies, picking up electrical cords, assisting presenters with hauling equipment and items from their booths to their cars, other general take down, as needed)
Work will require enthusiasm and energy!
No need to commit to the entire day. Come when you want to or are able to. If you decide to help out for an extended period of time, you are more than welcome to take breaks to enjoy the event. The Ducky Derby will also be occurring on campus, in a different location, on the same day, so feel free to visit them as well!
