Description

Have you ever wondered about other people's stories or lives? Perhaps you'd like to chat with someone about their life and all of their experiences they've had to shape them into the person they've become today. We all live such different lives, and no matter how long we live, it's never long enough.

Hospice volunteers are so lucky to be able to spend time with our patients, socializing and learning about patient lives, or sometimes just providing the patient's caregiver respite while their loved one sleeps. Either way, the volunteer is highly valued.

  • Do you enjoy gardening?
  • Do you have a big heart you’d like to share with others by visiting or just sitting down to hold someone's hand?
  • Are you a Veteran?
  • Do you enjoy reading or writing?
  • Would you like to provide caregivers of loved ones a break to go for a walk or just leave the house for a short while?
  • Do you play music?
  • Enjoy cleaning?
  • Do you have a special talent or hobby you would like to share with others in their last days, weeks, or months of life?
  • Prefer office-type work? We have a need for help with that, too!

Walla Walla Community Hospice is looking for volunteers in Walla Walla, Columbia, and Umatilla Counties!
