Spark the joy of reading through the magic of a shared book! This is a weekly, one-hour volunteer commitment in The Dalles at Chenowith or Dry Hollow Elementary. Next school year we would like Readers at Colonel Wright, also! Volunteer Readers provide literacy support to kids and help foster a love of reading through fun, child-guided reading sessions. All volunteers complete an online application, background check, and on-site training.
