Volunteer: Tri-College Community Day '26 -- Yard Sale Prep (16)

Volunteers will help YWCA with preparing for their Yard Sale Extravaganza! You will work alongside a program lead and program recipients to prepare for a yard sale the following weekend that will benefit the program recipients.

This project requires lifting and walking. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty! Volunteers should be at least 16 years of age.

Volunteer: Tri-College Community Day '26 -- Spring Readiness at Builders ReSupply (3)

Teams will be loading recyclable materials and trash into the delivery truck, cleaning and organizing merchandise outside, trimming the perimeter fenceline, pulling weeds, applying gravel to the paths, building a carport cover structure, reclaiming metal, and other tasks as determined necessary.

This is a mostly outdoor, physical, and interactive project that requires the ability to lift, or team lift, up to 50 pounds, walk and carry items over uneven surfaces, and work with dirty and dusty materials. No families with young kids should sign up for this project. Make sure to wear closed toe, closed heel footwear, clothes that can get dirty, and bring a water bottle.

Volunteers will join the Berney Garden Weed Crew with reclaiming the outer fence at the Berney Elementary School garden from weeds. Participants will weed along the outer fence of the garden to create a border between the grass and the garden space. 

This volunteer opportunity will require bending, knelling, and sitting to weed in an outdoor space. Make sure to wear clothing that can get dirty, wear sunscreen/a hat if applicable, and bring a water bottle!
