Connect & Play Kids Activity Helper

Connect & Play is a family-centered learning event where children explore hands-on activities while parents participate in learning sessions. Volunteers help create a fun and supportive space for kids.

Your Purpose

• Treat every child with dignity and respect. Speak to participants in a supportive, encouraging way.

• Help guide children through activity stations related to healthy food choices.

• Support hands-on activities such as snack building, food sorting games, and creating a healthy plate.

• Encourage curiosity and positive conversations about different foods.

• Celebrate participation and effort rather than focusing on “right or wrong” answers.

• Assist children with materials, instructions, and transitions between activities.

• Watch for signs of frustration or hesitation and provide gentle encouragement.

• Help maintain a positive and inclusive environment where children feel safe trying new things.

• Assist with snack distribution and activity cleanup as needed.
