Your Purpose

- Treat everyone with dignity and respect. Speak to participants as you would any other teen or adult.

- Warm up with players, pass balls, and cheer during games.

- Encourage participants who may need reminders about plays, turns, or sharing the ball.

- Celebrate every shot, whether it goes in or not!

- Support coaches (Patrick for Youth, Camden for Adults) by helping drills run smoothly.

- Build relationships! Learn names, sit with players, and make them feel part of a team.

- Commit when you can. Consistency helps participants feel secure, but even one week makes a difference.

About the Role
The heart of the Harvest Party happens during the event itself! As an Activity Friend, you’ll help run games, crafts, and activities while ensuring participants feel included and supported. Your presence helps create the laughter, fun, and sense of community that makes this celebration special.

Your Purpose
As an Activity Friend, you are the connection between the fun and our participants. You’ll run activities, cheer on participants, and make sure everyone feels welcomed and valued. Treat everyone with dignity and respect. Speak to participants as you would any other teen or adult.

What You’ll Do

Run carnival-style games, craft tables, or activity stations.

Greet participants and encourage them to try activities.

Help explain and demonstrate games in a friendly, simple way.

Offer support when needed, while letting participants lead the fun.

Celebrate every effort and success with positivity and encouragement.

What to Bring / Know

Comfortable clothing (you may be moving between activities).

Patience, kindness, and energy for engaging with participants.

About the Role
After the party winds down, the Clean-Up Crew ensures the event ends smoothly. You’ll help take down decorations, clean activity areas, and pack away supplies so the space is left better than we found it.

Your Purpose
As a Clean-Up Crew member, your role is essential to wrapping up a successful event. Your teamwork ensures that our staff and families don’t have to carry the load alone.

What You’ll Do

Take down decorations and pack away supplies.

Fold tables and stack chairs.

Help gather trash and tidy the space.

Work with other volunteers to finish quickly and efficiently.

What to Bring / Know

Comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting a little dirty.

Willingness to work as a team and wrap up tasks efficiently.

No direct participant interaction, but your support makes a huge difference.

About the Role
The Harvest Party can’t happen without a welcoming and festive atmosphere! The Set-Up Crew creates the magic before the event begins. You’ll help decorate, arrange tables and chairs, and prepare the space so our participants walk into a joyful, autumn-themed celebration.

Your Purpose
As a Set-Up Crew member, you bring the party to life before it even starts. Your work ensures that participants enter a space that feels safe, fun, and inviting.

What You’ll Do

Set up tables, chairs, and activity areas.

Put up decorations to create a festive, welcoming environment.

Make sure games and craft stations are ready to go.

Work together as a team to transform the space.

What to Bring / Know

Comfortable clothes you can move around in.

A cheerful attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed.

No direct participant interaction during this shift, but your work sets the stage for the event’s success.
